In our Women’s Economic Empowerment Programme (WEE), we support entrepreneurs, mainly women, to become successful micro- and small business owners, energy service providers and leaders in their communities. These entrepreneurs receive business development and empowerment training, technical advice and mentoring. The programme also facilitates linkages with local financiers, markets and governments. But none of these businesses can flourish without the drive and commitment of each and every entrepreneur herself. And the way to become an empowered entrepreneur is not a one way road to success. The entrepreneurs have to tackle many challenges on their way. In the Empowerment Journeys some of these entrepreneurs let us take a peek in their kitchen. Join us and learn what it is like for a woman to build a business in remote, hard to reach areas.
