Advocacy & Advice

In Phase 3 of the ENERGIA programme, advocacy and advice remain important. These activities are aimed at influencing decision-making by policymakers and planners by promoting the importance of, and approaches to, integrating gender and energy in sustainable development policies and programmes.

Advocacy and advisory activities are targeted at three levels:

1. International/regional level;
2. Institutional level; and
3. Project level.

Three activities are envisaged as part of the strategy:

1. Participation in meetings, conferences, and workshops;

2. Publication and dissemination of advocacy materials; and

3. Participation in high-level expert advisory groups;
