Websites and databases

The databases are to make searching for gender and energy publications easier. The websites and webpages publish outputs of major projects undertaken by ENERGIA, or support a discussion forum.

ENERGIA's online databases:

ENERGIA's special websites:

  • Policy Innovation Forum on Networking Towards Gender and Poverty Sensitive Energy Policies
Forum website, which brings together regional and national policy makers, and leading energy, poverty and gender specialists from government agencies, academia and non-governemental organisations in the region. The Forum will push forward with new approaches that will lead to pro-poor and pro-women energy policies and programmes.
  • TIE-ENERGIA website
Official project website of the EU-funded TIE-ENERGIA project "Turning Information into Empowerment". This project focused on strengthening human and institutional capacity through a training programme on gender and energy, and on gender audits of energy policies in three African countries.
  • Gender as a Key Variable in Energy Interventions: Are We Asking the Right Questions?
This webpage lists all the outputs of a research project carried out under this title. The outputs include: conceptual review and proposed framework for the research; empirical reviews on the linkages between gender, energy and the Millennium Development Goals; reports of gender and energy case studies; policy recommendations; and a synthesis report of the main findings.
