Campaign to Genderise Energy Training

ENERGIA would like to contact organisations which are giving training in energy planning of all kinds. ENERGIA is looking into the possibility to add gender components to existing energy courses and workshops, even to those that are otherwise only technical. In this way we hope that the idea of gender can be more widely understood and appreciated by people who might never attend a special course on ‘gender and energy’.

We would like help from readers in identifying organisations which we could approach on this: local, national, and regional. If you know of training which is being given in any aspect of energy planning and management, please send us a short description of the type of training and name and address of the organisation concerned, and if possible a contact person within that organisation, so that we can further this campaign.

Instraw training package review

In our last issue we announced that we would review the INSTRAW training package, in the fourth issue. Unfortunately, the reactions were too few to write an objective and well-balanced review.
