Advisory Group
The ENERGIA Advisory Group was established in 2005 to provide advice on strategic issues for the Network. The Advisory Group has finished its first term in the beginning of 2009 and in March 2009 a new Advisory Group was elected, consisting of new members, but also of members of the previous Advisory Group to allow for continuity. The current term ends in 2011. The Advisory Group recently met from 1-2 June 2009 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to provide a vision on future directions as well as a reflection on current actions that ENERGIA implements.
Advisory Group Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on the ENERGIA’s vision, policies, strategies and structure, and facilitate their review when necessary.
- Provide advice on the implementation of annual work plans and budgets to ensure that these are supportive of ENERGIA’s vision and strategies.
- Advise on potential synergies with other ongoing and planned programmes in the regions where ENERGIA is active.
- Advise on funding opportunities for the continuation of the ENERGIA programme beyond 2011.
- Advise on appropriate monitoring and evaluation methods to safeguard the integrity of the results of the ENERGIA programme.
- Provide outreach to ENERGIA national networks and partners.
- Represent regional (Africa and Asia) and international perspective on new development within the gender and the energy sector.
- Be a forum for conflict resolution with the network.
